Decagon Undergraduate Honors Program

Building Nigeria's next generation of leaders.

The Decagon Undergraduate Honors Program identifies exceptional young Nigerians and invests four years in developing them — degree, career training, mentorship, and community — into the professionals this country needs.

Decagon Undergraduate Honors Program

Talent without development is wasted.

Nigeria produces hundreds of thousands of high-scoring graduates every year. Without structured investment in their professional development, most of that talent enters the workforce underprepared. The Decagon changes that.

The gap

Nigeria produces exceptional talent every year. Most of it goes undeveloped.

Hundreds of thousands of young Nigerians score well on JAMB every year — they have the ability, the drive, and the ambition. What they lack is a structured programme that develops that potential into a career. Without it, talent enters the workforce underprepared. The Decagon is that programme.

The full programme

Four years of structured development — not just a degree.

Every Decagon scholar receives more than tuition. The programme runs for all four years of their degree — structured career training, a professional community, mentorship, and access to real work. By graduation, they are not just qualified. They are ready.

Full tuition at a partner university

Fees paid directly to the institution each semester against verified enrolment. No cash to individuals. No detours.

Career Accelerator Track

A four-year online programme running alongside the degree. Core courses in professionalism, critical thinking, business writing, project management, and ethical AI — plus one chosen specialisation: Tech, Design, Growth Marketing, or Entrepreneurship.

Decagon Honours Community

From Year 3, scholars join a verified professional community. Digital badge, LinkedIn Scholar status, peer groups, and monthly fireside chats with industry leaders.

Career mentorship

Structured mentorship with professionals from Nigeria's business and technology community. Runs throughout the programme.

Opportunities portal

Access to internships, vacation jobs, freelance projects, and volunteer roles — curated for Decagon scholars throughout their degree.

Leadership training

All scholars participate in structured leadership development that runs alongside their academic programme from Year 1.

The Decagon Undergraduate Honors Program is run by Decagon Services Limited. Decagon Foundation funds scholarships in collaboration with them.

A scholar's story

Pelumi Yerima is the reason the Decagon Undergraduate Honors Program exists.

Pelumi wrote JAMB four times, improving from 257 to 285. Admission came — but financial constraints nearly ended it. Someone chose to invest. In 2024, she graduated First-Class from Christopher University. Today she works as a Technical Recruiter at Vertex Software Corporation.

"My story is proof that persistence, resilience, and faith can completely change the direction of your life."
What your donation does

One investment. Four years of development.

Nigeria's most talented young people are already here. What they need is a structured programme that develops their potential — from first semester to career. That is what your contribution funds.

01

A high-potential scholar is selected

Every scholar is chosen for academic merit, financial need, and character. JAMB 250+ is the floor. Drive and potential are what we look for above it.

02

Tuition goes directly to the institution

Funds are paid to the university, not handed to the student. No detours. The institution receives payment; the scholar receives their place.

03

They develop into a career-ready professional

Alongside their degree, every scholar completes the Career Accelerator Track — four years of professional skills, a chosen specialisation, mentorship, and access to real work opportunities.

04

Nigeria gains a skilled, connected leader

Every scholar who graduates enters the workforce credentialled, career-trained, and part of the Decagon Honours Community. The return on your investment compounds for decades.
